Since the Stars Fell

Yesterday gifted me with two special exchanges with fireflies:

I stepped out into the yard last night and stood under one of the mimosa trees, in the misting rain. It was dusk and the fireflies were emerging, flitting in and out of the tree branches, settling in the overgrown field. One firefly landed on my hand as I stood there taking it all in. He crawled up and down my fingers, over my opened palm, flashing his cold light the entire time. I held my hand up to my face and we stared at each other for a long time. He repeatedly raised his little front leg in the air, as if in greeting, and wiggled his antennae at me.  I even tried to get him to leave my hand so I could return inside and still, he stayed fixed to my hand. I had to physically put him down.

Later that night, lying in bed, insomnia struck. I lie there in the dark, listening to the unbroken drone of the window fan, letting my eyes adjust to the darkness, centering on the paint swirled ceiling.  A little flash in the dark broke through the heavy blackness above me.  The firefly skimmed around the room, flashing continuously, leaving trails of cold luminous light. For an hour, I watched him, as he painted spirals in the air above me.
***Fireflies are symbols for spiritual enlightenment as well as for celestial messengers.***

Light seems to be playing a huge role in my life lately: Last week, during the super moon, my husband and I witnessed an astonishing event. While stargazing, we saw a slow moving, bright white, massive object gradually streaking across the sky. As we watched, we unmistakably deduced that it was not a plane or a satellite.  It was not a regular shooting star either. As we watched it finally arced across the sky and burned out when it hit the atmosphere with a bright green glow. This path took almost a minute in length.  This meteor was amazing and we have never seen anything like it. It was, honestly, a little disconcerting due to its size and brightness.  I was left stunned and speechless to have been granted the chance to witness such an amazing event.
***Many tribal people view meteors as a sign of spirits of the deceased traveling to the afterlife. Meteors also are thought to amplify thoughts/telepathic sending/receiving, greater awareness, some connection to extraterrestrial life. Meteors are thought to herald am upcoming birth of an important soul.***

I have recently been delivered some psychic information from a dear friend gifted with clairvoyance.  Her information matched what a stranger told me a few years ago out of the blue. Two other friends who may not know they have a touch of second sight have also recently confided in me about dreams they had regarding me and the situation the other two have touched upon.  All of their information matched without me prompting any sort of semblance between them.
I believe these events surrounding the lights are signs of something amazing to come and I am ready to except it with open arms.
